moonshinin'

I just received the following email from my dad...slightly edited due to language...
"I want to share one of the great moments of my life with you.
Your aunt is doing the Family Tree...Anyway, she has found an arrest warrant for my great-grandfather and my great-great-grandfather, signed by the honorable Ulysses S. Grant, President of these United States,  and you'll never guess what the crime was??? Lucky guess-- it was for making illegal whiskey, ( good old Arkansas Moonshine.) Never have I been so proud in all my almost 60 yrs. I have a tear in my eye as I send this msge. I am so fullfilled. I knew you would want to be in on this."

Just when I think I cannot love my family any-damn-more than I already do. You go Mike Jones...You go

The first few days...

The first day of "healthier choices" went smoothly...then, I got invited to a Cowboy game. I thought it was the end...

Inside the stadium, I did drink a couple of beers- but I had a pickle instead of a hotdog...and I walked up & down about 10 flights of stairs- and 3 miles to and fro the car that day...

Katelin was with me, so she reassured me that I was "working out" way more than usual- She also made me laugh off who knows how many calories (along with the hubs and my BIL- Philip)...

notice the wine in my ozarka bottle...instead of a bud light ;)

frustrated doesn't begin to describe...

Today is one of those days where I have to wait on someone else to do my own job. I don't have any students until this afternoon, and our computer lab is not up to code- so I can't work with 2nd grade on their new math program. Currently waiting on papers to be returned to me for filing. While waiting, I can't help but think about all of the things that I could be doing if I were at home. Cleaning up for the Halloween party, laundry, dishes, finishing my costume....sleeping....

I just found myself searching for comfy beds on pinterest. Daydreaming much?
this one looks cozy
