I was blessed with two incredible older sisters and no brothers...until 1994. My aunt had a son. Not just any son. A handsome, loving, hilarious, kind, tall, smart, creative, fun, athletic, talented, amazing son. He is not my cousin. He is my brother. Not in like a weird incestuous dad got with aunt kind of thing... Just in a "he's more like a brother than a cousin" type of thing. Different genes,
different some of the same blood running through our veins. Same love that brothers and sisters have. Maybe even a better relationship than brothers and sisters have.
He is graduating from high school and moving to San Marcos for college. I'm afraid I took him living down the street for 18 years for granted. I'm going to miss watching him play baseball, and getting called on the weekends for rides, and hugging his skinny ass at least once a week.
I love you Campbell Ray!
